INDIAN FRUITS

LEMON

 * Indian Lemons are known for their tangy and citrusy taste. Just a few drops of its juice can instantly transform the flavour of any dish or beverage. 

* Indian lemons are available year-round. 

*Indian lemons are used widely across the world and it is one of the finest lemon available in globally.

*It is also called as citrus in various part of the world

GUAVA

* Guava is one of the important commercial fruits in India. It is the fourth most important fruit after mango, banana and citrus. 

* As we are located in southern side of India we get the best quality of Guava of various sizes and types.

* Guavas are available from beginning spring through winter. 

* Although Guava is a fruit, its culinary uses are nearly unlimited. Guava can be eaten whole for simple fresh eaten. They may be used for applications both sweet and savory, fresh, cooked, hot and cold. 

AMLA

*Amla is also known as Indian gooseberry.

* Red bananas have a mild, sweet, and subtly earthy flavor with tropical, fruity nuances .

NENDRAN BANANA

* Nendran banana is one of the unique variety of banana family

* Nendran banana is only available in southern side of India ,as we are located in the same place we can procure the best quality Nendran banana.

* Nendran banana is majorly used in making of chips, Nendran chips is one of the favourite snacks of people in south India.

CUSTARD APPLE

* It is popularly known as custard or sugar apple.

* Custard apple is composed of soluble fibres and antioxidants, which may show laxative properties. It may also help remove toxins and improves bowel movements. Hence, these soluble dietary fibres add bulk to the stool and may help in managing constipation.  

* Custard apples are available year-round in tropical climates 

JACK FRUIT

* India is the largest producer of jackfruit in the world, and long believed to be its place of origin .

* Jackfruit are available in the summer 

* The deep yellow-orange color of the Jackfruit bulbs is the result of phytonutrients like beta-carotene, giving the fruit powerful antioxidant properties.
*  Younger Jackfruit is added to curries and can be roasted or baked and eaten as a vegetable. 

* Jackfruit seeds can be roasted and eaten like chestnuts or dried and ground into flour. 

TENDER COCONUT

* Tender coconut is unprocessed young coconut and it is Fresh, natural and healthy 

*  It works as an energy drink in the hot summers as it is loaded with plenty of minerals, vitamins and nutrients along with glucose. 

* Tender coconuts are available year-round

PAPAYA

* Papaya is very much sensitive to frost, strong winds and water stagnation. 

*  Papayas contain high levels of antioxidants such as vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Diets high in antioxidants may reduce the risk of heart disease. The antioxidants prevent the oxidation of cholesterol.

POMOGRANATE

PINEAPPLE

*  Pineapples are available year-round in limited quantities. 

* Pineapples are aromatic and have low acidity, emitting a pleasant, fruity and subtly floral flavor with a lingering candy-like sweetness. 

* Pineapples are a good source of vitamin C, an antioxidant that reduces inflammation and strengthens the immune system.

NONGU / ICE APPLE

* Ice apples are also known as Nongu in southern part of India.

* When skinned, tender ice apples have mildly sweet, jelly-like flesh, with a gush of sugary juice at the center. Their thin fibrous skin is edible but has a bitter aftertaste. 

* The pulp of mature ice apple is eaten directly from the wiry fibre of peeled fruits. 

*  The fleshy ice apples are packed with translucent, juicy liquid and may have exceptional cooling properties. 

* Ice apples are available in the summer. 


WOOD APPLE

*  Wood apples have a peak season from October through March in India

 *  Wood apples are a source of fiber to stimulate the digestive tract, beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A .

* Wood apples have a complex sweet, sour, musky, and fermented flavor suited for fresh preparations .

*  Wood apples are a culinary ingredient in select regions of India and Sri Lanka, and the fruits are added to chutney, sauces, and salad dressings. 

*  In India, Wood apples are frequently added to rasam, a soup-like dish, and pachadi, a fresh pickle side dish.
